Why partner with us

A new company, run on old trading principles

Ceylon Island Harvest was founded to do the unglamorous parts of exporting properly: honest grading, straight pricing, and shipments that arrive when promised.

Sourced direct from farmers

We buy from the growers themselves rather than through layers of collectors. That means we know the field a consignment came from, and the farmer earns a fairer share of what you pay.

Checked before it ships

Every lot is graded against the agreed specification — size, colour, moisture, foreign matter — and rejected material never reaches your carton.

Priced without games

One clear quotation covering product, packing and freight terms. If a crop is short or prices move, we tell you before you commit, not after.

Shipped on the date agreed

Bookings, documentation and phytosanitary paperwork are prepared in parallel with packing, so the consignment leaves when we said it would.

Terraced Sri Lankan hillside where spices and fruit are grown

Where it comes from

Grown on an island built for it

Sri Lanka packs wet zone, dry zone and hill country into 65,000 square kilometres. That range is why the same island produces true cinnamon, hill-grown cardamom and lowland pineapple within a few hours' drive of each other.

Wet zone

Cinnamon, rambutan, pepper

Hill country

Cardamom, avocado, cloves

Dry zone

Mango, papaya, turmeric

How we work

From your enquiry to your warehouse

Five steps, each with a named person responsible for it. You are told where your order stands at every one.

  1. 01

    You send a specification

Product, grade, volume, packing and destination port. We come back with a quotation and the earliest realistic shipping window.

  2. 02

    We source against it

Orders are placed with the growing regions best suited to your grade, timed to the harvest rather than to a warehouse shelf.

  3. 03

    Grading and quality control

Incoming lots are inspected, sorted and rejected where necessary before anything is packed.

  4. 04

    Packing and documentation

Packed to your carton specification while phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin and shipping documents are prepared.

  5. 05

    Dispatch and tracking

Air or sea freight booked to your terms, with documents couriered and a tracking reference sent the day the consignment leaves.

Tell us what you need, and by when.

Send us your product, grade and volume and we will come back with a quotation, available shipping windows and samples where appropriate.
